Typhoon Haiyan (also known as Typhoon Yolanda) has struck the Visayas region of the Philippines from November 6 to November 8, 2013 with a landfall wind speed at 190 miles per hour. It has caused total devastation in Tacloban City, Leyte and nearby towns, northern Cebu towns, Iloilo City, and Antique. It is estimated that 10,000 people have died in Tacloban City alone. This does not count the other towns that have been struck by the deadly typhoon.
Community Wellness Lifeline of Missouri has partnered with local churches in the Philippines to bring relief goods to those who are greatly afflicted. We are raising funds to purchase relief goods and sent to the Philippines. By giving as little as $10 to the cause, you will be able to provide food and water to a household of four for 5 days.
